There are other Spring Drive Chronos without GMT

Mar 26, 2024,21:13 PM

In fact those are the most compact and attractive models (to me). You can identify them by smaller diameter, thinner case, and flat-head and short pushers, as in this

SBGB001 (white)
SBGB003 (black)
Movement 9R84
Size 44 x 14

As opposed to the GMT models which are thicker by a couple mm at least.

SBGC001 (Champagne) SS
SBGC003 (Black) SS
SBGC004 (White) Red Gold
SBGC005 (Black) Ti
SBGC007 (Green) SS on Strap
SBGC009 (Black) SS
SBGC011 (White) SS
SBGC013 (Blue) Ti
Movement 9R86
Size 44 x 16.5

The Ceramic encased models are same thickness but several mm larger in diameter (the main reason I never bought one).

SBGC015 (Black) Ti/Ceramic
SBGC017 (Green) Ti/ Ceramic
Movement 9R96
Size 46.4 x 16.5

A multitude of other models have ensued since this list, but it gives you the sense that bigger is better with GS Spring Drive Chronos.

Mike

How about for 51mm and a fully rotating case?

 By: KMII : March 23rd, 2024-16:33
Been a while since I posted the Seiko Izul SDAA001, so here we go again. Changed it to a more summery white toad strap, now it’s only the weather that needs to change 😁🀞🏻 ...

Very cool! How does it wear! Can't imagine 51mm on my wrist

Wears smaller than the Master Compressor Memovox 😁

 By: KMII : March 23rd, 2024-16:49
It’s a lugless design for a start, in titanium and with a curved case back, so it wears drastically smaller than many watches that are much smaller in real life. And the ability to rotate the case for using the chrono or just choose your optimal angle is ...

But the lug to lug (if you can call it that ) helps make it manageable

Definitely does but it is thick indeed πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘πŸ»

You are probably more likely to see a SpaceWalk either live or on the internet than this one 😊

Definitely quite a thing when it came out some 16 years ago. But so jam packed with features, too πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘πŸ»

That’s the most exotic IMHO - a member here always called it the pterodactyl strap πŸ˜‚

 By: KMII : March 24th, 2024-11:30
The Izul series was launched in 2008 I believe. It consisted of four models, two with a rotating case and two smaller ones with a fixed case (permanent bullhead configuration there). In each case configuration there was a white and black dial version. If ...
