Wandering through our capital city, I stopped for a moment at the Bank of England.

A strange melody played in my head and then I realised it was "A British Bank" from the movie 'Mary Poppins' (1964).

Then, I met my friend who kindly brought this striking watch to share with me...
L.U.C Strike One
In 2006, the first striking calibre in the L.U.C collection was launched.
As the first foray into acoustic watches, musical technicians and watchmakers cooperated in creating the 300-component striking mechanism of L.U.C 96 SHT movement.

Now renamed the L.U.C Calibre 96.14-L, it allows the L.U.C Strike One to independently chime the number of hours on a gong. The acoustic performance may be deactivated at the press of a button.
Although the chimes have a pretty tone, they were soft in volume.
Still, it is a rare watch indeed...

Later, Chopard introduced the L.U.C Full Strike which is now the best striking watch out there.
